Hi Guys, While giving my new ride a good clean out after taking out and replacing the black leather for pumice, I found a 1998 brochure for the scorpio and all it's advertising, colours etc. I noticed that the engine size started at 2.3, no 2.0L mentioned at all!!! The really wierd thing is that I bought the car in Great Yarmouth and the brochure in the car has a sticker on the back from the Dovercourt Ford garage in, guess where, Clacton!! It's like the car has come home! I also found the Ford cassette that gives instructions on how to use the air conditoning. It's looks like it's never been played. What are the chances. Does anyone else have these??

Yes it seems 2.0L is never mentioned after a certain point, I think the owners book you can download from here (?) is like that, whereas, my (actual printed) one doesn't mention 2.3L. Too early.

I collect old ford brochures and ive got every ford 'Cars' brouchre from 1987-1993 (when they stopped making the granada) then i have got scorpio brochures from 94-98 only need 96. I love looking through them. really interesting nice find :)

I thought the 2.0 was dropped in 1996 when the 2.3 was introduced? My 2.3 was a Sep '96 and had no reference to the 2.0 at all in the owner's handbook.

The cassettes were pretty nifty, heard of them but mine never had one :(

I remember walking past Clacton Dovercourt down Valleybridge Road when I was a kid, drooling over the Scorpios and Probes (hey Probe - there's an early 90's flashback). Pity Lookers closed it last year, I got to know the guys there pretty well :(
