Title: Limo Post by adam on Nov 20th, 2012, 10:34pm Saw this on Gumtree in N.I. Never seen one before, http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/ford-scorpio-limousine-for-parts/1003260921 Well i thought i like this. I am going to buy it. So rang and appears to be not for me. First it's a diesel 2.5 manual. No SVA. Hence, they are selling for spares. He is selling for £1000 complete. If it was a petrol & auto, I would have bought it and taken a punt. So, anyone fancy it? Here is some info on SVA, http://www.limohirelondon.org/limo_guide.html may need a model report? Also, classification on number of seats 8 or 8+. Also, further legislation if for hire and reward. Adam |

Title: Re: Limo Post by gozz on Nov 21st, 2012, 2:56pm Adam. That limo could be a one off, hence you won't have seen another ;) almost certainly it's not British built, could be Irish or continental, the design is outrageous and impractical, too low in the roof, much too long in the body and like the Yank idiom is a pure cut and shut with the two original saloon doors over the rear wheel arches to struggle through,no doubt it has a 'J' seat along one side and across the front in addition to the original rear seat. I reckon the gods were smiling on you,to get saddled with an animal like that would bring a mighty rod across your back :o GOZZ. |
