I noticed a policebike behind me as i came thro the rotherhithe tunnel today and saw that he was giving the back of my scorpio a real going over . As i came out of the tunnel i got stuck in traffic at some roadworks then the bike pulled up along side and stopped at my window , he then lifted up the front of his crash helmet and said "excuse me sir" uh oh i thought , what have i done ? But to my surprise he asked the millage on my scorpio !!!! When i told him 95k he said blimey your car is in fantastic condition . It turns out he used to own scorpios himself , btw funny how no one blows thier horn at you when youve got a copper standing next to you !! Anyway later in the day i was getting some petrol when a fella comes bowling over and starts asking about the car again . Funny aint it how many fans these cars have now compared to when they first came out !!!!

Yes i agree Rich. I've had numerous cars and only my Cossie estate has attracted an offer of purchase whilst filling up at the local petrol station. Declined the kind offer as i wasn't selling. Strange how many people ask what sort of car is it??
Worth keeping for individuality alone ;D

Aye. I even stood with a bloke and had him tell me it's a Granada Mk4! Even after I've shown him the showroom brochures naming the car as a Ford-Scorpio! What do some people think, that I don't know the name of the car I own!!! The car always shows interest up here in the far North, because the local Ford dealer only sold two of them the whole time they were in production. The nearest dealer to that in Inverness (about 45 miles) sold only fourteen of them, so they really are rare up here. Apparently the reason being they sold so few up here is because the people that might have bought the Scorpio moved over to Vauxhall and got the not-so-good Omega. I went around a few Vauxhall dealers (there are more up here than Ford dealers) and asked a few mates that work in the trade and they said there was a definite increase of sales for the big Vauxhall around the time the Granada stopped.

I had a vauxhall omega estate for a few years . 2.5TD thought it was a real nice car to drive ,but what let in down to me was the interior, bland doesnt even begin to describe it !!! Cloth seats for gods sake . I cant understand why anyone would have cloth over leather , nightmare to clean especially when youve got young kids . Mine went belly up when the front pulley gave up . Trying to get replacement was a nightmare . Was told vauxhall had to get part from germany , then they sent wrong one , then told me its unavailable !!! Gave up at that point . But turned out to my advantage because my next car was my first scorpio . A 2.9 coswortb ,i loved that car, wonder if highlander has still got it ??
