I've seen a 'Y'.   However, if I didn't already have too-many cars I might go for that at the right price/bid!  Living in the country in the middle of nowhere with no cover prohibits!   Someone will score, hope it's not the banger-boys!

Sorry boys me and my brother picked it up last night, don't worry will not be used as a Bangor racer, we will be taking to wicksteed park next year so you'll see it again if your going.

Good to see another one being saved, especially such a late registered example.

Assume 'Bangor racing' is something unique to a certain area of Wales  :D

Well rescued Ashley  8) I see the registration date is March 97 yet it has a V reg,my V reg limo was registered in Sep 99.It may have been a DVLA situation similar to the famous Y reg,I seem to remember that when Big Neil had it,the powers that be allocated it a Y when it was an earlier car.

Another one saved is good news indeed. And if you need an offside caliper I have one here, ford remanufactured and was only on the car for a short while.

Hi thanks bikerdon not sure if I need a new calliper will try stripping and cleaning the old one first see if that works, in no rush to get it on the road just wanted to save it first.

Gozz I don't why it says that date on ebay, the car was built in May 98 which is the same as my facelift S plate but was registered on 07/10/99 very strange.

Don't think I've seen just a Scorpio car registered this late before apart from the Y one, anyone know the date of the very last one registered?.

Yeah, the car was put on a private plate and when the private plate was taken off DVLA decided to give it a new reg.  Nothing suprises me with the DVLA.  VIN has a build date of July 1998 - which is the last month of production for the Scorpio.
