Has anyone tried the led car bulbs ?. After trying to reverse out of a very dark and long drive, with the scorp, I thought I would look at more powerful bulbs.

Well I went for these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271265839796?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649. I had to file a bit off the bottom ring as they did not fit the holder but they do give a lot more light.

Well, I'm surprised! I did exactly that, and found that although the lights are a wee bit brighter, they're still rubbish compared to the Jaguar and the Gal's wee Hyundai. So I just junked the bulbs and went back to standard. I live in the middle of nowhere, so when it's dark, it's 'close-your-eyes' dark. I think the lenses are rubbish, and I suppose in the Scorpio's day the lights were for decor and to warn people of your intentions.

Did you have the ones with two Leds in, some/most only have one. I have only tried them in my drive, not very dark, the real test will be at where my brother lives, very dark and loads of junk to hit. ;D ;D. i still might put reverse sensors on.
