Just a heads up for those who have not done so already.
Apparentley ebay was hacked into or something like that.
Everyone needs to change ebay password, as a saftey measure.

I changed mine today when I saw it on the news but ebay say they have notified all their members yet my e-mail seems to have got lost from them lol.

Had a phone call yesterday from an Indian sounding guy, who asked for me by name. He said he was from 'Microsoft technology department'...who ? ::)....& said that they had detected that my computer had been compromised with spyware/viruses & was sending out a multitude of spam etc to other computers.

I listened to his bulls**t for a while (even conversed with him), until I got bored & told him that I had an AppleMac (not really)...at which point the line went dead ::)

Ebay password now changed, along with Paypal password, email password & all online banking passwords...you can't be too careful ;)

JC - this is a common scam, I've had the call myself.

Just told him to 'Go forth and...' ;D

Yep had that call too JC. Used to get it alot but sems to have stoped all of a sudden. If that's the first one you've had you may get loads more in the coming weks even after teling them no ::)

Had the same call yesterday , strung him along for a while, asked who he was and he said he was from "Windows department" so I asked him if he was from Microsoft and the line suddenly and inexplicably went dead !!
Last time he rang I said it was very strange (like Jonnycab) because I was using an Apple and the line went dead, again without so much as a goodbye !

When I get such calls from "Microsoft India" I tell them I work for "Microsoft UK security"...That seems to flummex em. ;D
