Title: Re: radio fitment(help please) Post by daven on Mar 29th, 2004, 7:06am The 2007 has an external amp fitted under the passenger airbag and would be a big job to fit (dash out etc!) You would also need the cable (which seems to be integral to the loom) and the 'black box' connector that is behind the 2007 radio! To be honest it would be easier to go and get the 7000 unit - the multichanger would still work with it! Hope this helps! Daven |

Title: Re: radio fitment(help please) Post by Danny_R on Mar 29th, 2004, 10:01am Hi Steve, I'm with daven on this one. I had a 2007 in mine and wanted a 7000 in place of it. Because the 2007 uses an external amp, things get mega complicated. I assume your car has the 2006 radio? if so the 7000 is a direct replacement needing only cosmetic work doing to the wooden trim. have a look at the excellent write-up, 2006 - 7000 http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/2006upgrade.htm HTH Danny R |
