Title: Sunroof
Post by mattb100 on Apr 10th, 2004, 1:08pm
The sunroof on my Scorpio will not shut tight. it looks like the seal around the glass has expanded. anyone know where I can get another seal in Devon or will it mean a new roof
Thanks
Matt

Mattb ,

The sunroof on my Scorp when closed from the open / up possition sometimes sits a few mm. high . All I do is go to the open / down possition and then to closed again and it sits perfectly in line .

This may not be a cure but hope it helps a bit .

Madd .

Hmm, must be a common problem.  :-/
Thing is (on mine anyway) the car is so airtight, when you shut the door you can see the roof glass lift.

Thanks Madd
The seal has expanded so much that the roof will not slide back, but it does seem to shut better from the down position. good job the climate control is working.
