Title: Re: Starts then dies Post by KEF on Apr 30th, 2004, 8:27pm Hi Andrew No water got under spark plug cover or up to the fuses But I have just strip the loom from the ignition module down to where it joins the bigger loom and in there is a black cable carrying 3 wires white and purple a black and white and red and white all wraped in bare copper wire and then the black sleeve and all the 3 wire outer sleeve had perished so I have connected some new wire and cut out the old , fingers crossed that it solved the problem. I took it for a little run and touch wood itseemed to run O.K I'm just going to take her to the Super Market so I will see. May be some time. (she may have to give me a piggy back home) Keith |
