Hi A little help needed here,, I have been offered a set of brake discs (Front and Rear) that are originaly from a sorpio 24 cosworth 1995 the question is are they compatible to my own car which is a 2.3 saloon 1997 I am led to understand that a modification to cosworth discs has been made and the ones on offer are the modified ones a quick reply would be helpful as the guy is waiting for an answer.

Looks like there is a difference of 18mm, but they may still fit, But don't quote me on that, visit this website for a bit more info

hi there

i think the 24 valve has vented rears. the 2.3 saloon should have non-vented. btw all estates have vented front and rear discs.

Well, I'm not sure about the other models, but I can confirm that the Cossie discs are vented front & rear. Just done my rear ones ;D

Hi Ken
After talking to a mate, we both reckon the fronts will fit but the rears on yours are solid so you will have no chance with the rears. You should be able to sell them on, no trouble. Sorry about that, it's a pity yours is not a estate but as you said " I will take a chance"
