Title: Re: Imobiliser Post by Danny_R on May 19th, 2004, 12:30pm The Passive Anti Theft system incorporated into the scorpio is very complex and is virtually impossible to bypass. I wouldnt even start touching any of the system. expensive if anything breaks. Danny R |

Title: hRe: Imobiliser Post by IBarfoot on May 19th, 2004, 1:47pm I had to repair a wiring loom (no surprise there it would seem) it had a small shorting session after garage changed gearbox. Now it all seems to initialise but the imobiliser seems to be stopping the engine firing up. To be honest getting more than a bit fed up with it. May just cut my losses and loose the £1200 for the gear box and buy another car. Shame is I just renewed all the brakes and stuff. |

Title: Re: Imobiliser Post by Snoopy on May 19th, 2004, 1:52pm Check the fuel cut off loom and also the reset button for the fuel pump.... Could be something as simple as that.... Cheers Snoopy |

Title: Re: Imobiliser Post by IBarfoot on May 19th, 2004, 1:54pm Yep I thought of that, I guessed at the imobiliser as the led on the dashboard is not doing it's usual flashing thing. But thanks for the thought. |
