Title: Eratic Brake Problem
Post by MartinJ on Sep 10th, 2004, 11:25am
I have what appears to be an intermittent problem. My Scorpio pulls to the near side quite sharply when braking SOMETIMES!
I've had the front pads and discs replaced and this still occurs. Braking mostly is perfect, it's just sometimes for a short period of time it will pull to the left, 10 mins later this problem just seems to go away by itself... any ideas?

Sounds like the piston in the caliper sticking. A question of stripping it down and checking it. john.n :)

Thanks for your help, me not a tech sort of guy, I'll get the old Haynes manual out and look to see what's what, I'm supposing there are two (left & right) so I suppose were talking about the off side one seeing as it's pulling to the near side..
