It's fast enough on kick-down, when the odometer rises to redline. But in the first gear, when the box doesn't have a lower gear to change to, it's sluggish. I have driven 150 HP cars that were able to take off much, much faster than a Cossie. That's because Cossie's first gear is too long. So an increase in power is welcome anytime. ;D |

Title: Re: increase of power Post by des on Sep 16th, 2004, 8:14pm have you taken the cats off yet they,ll be stranglin it for breathin and try a ram air system like the old boss 302/429 hemi/mustangs used to run they were frightening when you got the power down s*** of a shovel and able to keep up with 1000,kawasaki,s asta,la vista we gone....................................... |

Title: Re: increase of power Post by grahar81 on Sep 16th, 2004, 10:20pm yeah, i still need it to pass the MOT, so takin the cats off is silly, and they are already free flowing. The ram air debate is nonsense. |

Title: Re: increase of power Post by phuturephantasy on Sep 18th, 2004, 10:35pm BBRGTI do a Superchip that's supposed to up it to 228bhp - about 10% increase and Pipercross do a Viper induction kit that's supposed to give about 10% more. I believe STN has a Cossie with a Manual gearbox and a 3.7 bigbore engine - not sure where you can get this done though - Bigbossperformance is supposed to do bigbore conversions on Scorpios but there website has been down for about the last 30 years.... Let me know if you find out anything more interesting.. Graeme |
