Title: Re: windows misting up in wet Post by Baz on Sep 27th, 2004, 5:32pm Check under the front and rear carpets for any signs of water ingress, you may even have a leaking heater matrix or something. I have noticed that both of mine do mist up quite a lot but only when I am in the back.................woof woof!! |

Title: Re: windows misting up in wet Post by Eddie on Sep 27th, 2004, 9:10pm My scorpio without air-con was terrible in the rain when carrying a couple of pessengers. However my other car (no names etc.) has air con and I find the best way to alleviate misting is with the air-con on and set to recirculation mode,i.e. no damp exterior air. Once its clear switch back to normal (outside air) with the blower on low. This will dry the air out before it gets into the car. (moisture condenses on the chiller unit) eddie |

Title: Re: windows misting up in wet Post by Baz on Sep 27th, 2004, 10:33pm Des, have you checked behind the carpets etc and do you have a damp smell at all (In the car not you of course!!) If the pollen filters are getting wet, have you got all of the clips that hold their casing together as you may get water going through the heater box and into the car that way althugh this does seem a little strange. Check also the rear footwells and even the boot because once water finds a way in, it is very difficult to find it. My mates sister had a fiesta which always had a boot full of water, but many of us tried but could never find where it was entering. It did have a musty damp smell in the boot though It may even be a leaking screen although they are bonded so unlikey but worth a look anyway Baz |
