Hi all, need a little help. I have contacted ford parts uk for head gasket set, quoted £188 so not bad, but been informed i need the head / stretch bolts and these will be difficult to find, is this true or does anyone have any info on these. Thanks in advance

I think the bolts you need are special ones and are FINIS 1649117 they do require special spanner to fit them I think they are Hex socketsand priced about £3.00 each as far as I know.... there is also a special tightening sequence for them......

Others who have done this job may well know more and have more info but I am sure FMD will advise if need be...

see how much you get quoted for em,ive,rang newton motors liverpool and they,ve said scorpio v6 24v 94 onwards £26.00.coming from the sheffield area avail to-morrow .....................des.

Thank you for assistance, Turns out the bolts are included in the kit from Ford parts uk. £188 inc vat - the 15% discount £166
Thanks for your help though. Just got to find out a price on labour and special tool as my local garage dont have the special tool required for doing scorpio heads, and are un willing to quote for job yet.
