Title: Head lamp bulbs?
Post by Phil_Waller on Oct 6th, 2004, 2:13pm
Will these type of bulbs work in a Scorpio?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=72235&item=7926094190&rd=1

I am unsure of the heat and the current used going through the wiring loom? Is it something to worry about.. Otherwise these ones look cheap enough to try out and see what they are like?

Hi,

I've had these fitted to the dip beam of my Scorpio for about 3 months and had no probelms so far. There has been some heavy debate about their worth on this site before, especialy about blinding other drivers. Personaly, I have had no flashes (??) from other motorists so far and the spread of light does seem better. Generaly I have found that if someones headlights are dazzling, it is usualy due to mis-alignment and not bulb brightness IMO.

Cheers
