Title: Spark plugs and H.T. leads .
Post by maddshooter on Oct 14th, 2004, 12:34pm
Hi All ,

A while back there was some advice about good quality H.T. leads and where to obtain them . Also about the same time spark plugs were discussed and various prices and suppliers given . I can't find the article so please can anyone help . Mine is a 2.0 Ltr 16 V engine .

Regards , Madd .

Hey Madd,

On the two litre there are two coil packs with plug connectors and two specific leads which are designed to fit the Scorp. As far as I am aware there are no accessory fit leads, but Fords cost on leads only is about £8.00 each.

Interesting to see if any body has alternatives.

New leads sorted my misfire which was one of the messages which got zapped during the Florida Hurricane.

Thanks Geoff ,

I'll give my local FMD a look in and price up what I may need . Does anyone else have any ideas ?

Regards , Madd .

These leads are available from my local Macess, much cheaper than main dealer. There must be one near you. john.n ;)

Only Ford leads will do.

I've just had a quote from FordPartsUK for my Cossie. HT leads are £11.76 + vat each. I too would not use any other make  ;D.

SSD is 'semi surface discharge', a technology which is supposed to keep the plug cleaner and improve performance slightly.

Hope this helps

Should have mentioned, the plugs are twin electrode jobs. Halfords stock them.
