Title: Oil Cooler to Auto Box Pipes
Post by Mick Saunders on Oct 17th, 2004, 4:18pm
:) Hi All,
Does anybody know, how easy \ hard it is to change the Oil Cooler to Auto G\Box pipes?. Does the G\Box have to come out?. Also is there a diagram \ picture of the pipes on the site ?. The car is 24v Cosworth.
Mick

Hi Mick if you can get to the gear box under the car with some reasonable height then it is a relatively easy job. You will find that you will only have to take one of the pipes off the gear box as the other pipe that need replacing is the short one going from the oil cooler to the side of the main radiator... Ther have been posts on here recently about people just cutting back and fitting reiforced hydrualic piping which is what I thought about but ib the end I replaced the pipes... quite cheap the ppipes as well last time I think they were about £50.....

:) Hi Snoopy,
Much appreciated for the reply. I,ve found a picture of the pipes in the how to remove the G/box, in the useful links section. I'm glad to see they can be replaced without the box comming out.
Thanks again
Mick.
