Yes you can, I did this mod to my Brothers mk3.

No it is not, the plugs are different and the wires are of a different colour but it is not that hard to figure out when you look at which wires go to which motor etc.

Hi!
I'd like to swap these mirrors, too.
Would anybody tell me how I can remove the mirror from its housing? There isn't any hole at the bottom against mk3's door mirrors.

How do you mean ???, They fit on in exactly the same way as the Scorpio.

I mean the mk3's door mirror has a hole at the bottom of the housing where i can use a screwdriver to remove the mirror itself, but mk4's mirror has not got that hole.

most exactly, I want to remove the mirror plate from the mirror housing so not the mirror from the car 8)

ok I've solved.
there were eight plastic pins on the back of the mirror plate.

Having had both Granada & Ultima Scorpios, I can't understand why you'd want to change, I preferred the old type. ???
BTW does anyone Know how to re-programme the N/S auto reversing mirror position? Mine's set so well I backed into a post last week-end! Now need a new rear bumper for Estate. >:(
