Just charged up battery and put back in when I noticed that my headlights or foglights arent working everything on the dash indicates they are, could all relays have gone at once or has anyone else experianced this phenomonon ? ???

I assume you re-connected all cables to the battery?
Sounds silly I know, but it's fairly easy to miss one of them.

well as paul says,check all the wires are on the battery,did any sparks occur whilst connecting ?,are the fuses ok ?,apart from that,i know the headlight switch does give problems,but after just charging the battery,hmmmm not sure,might be one to think about though

Yes checked all cables connected on batt terminal, all correct, is there one relay that pertains to both headlights and foggies ? still looking for problem :-/

Check all the fuses, if all ok and then suspect the headlight switch.. It may just be one of those very starnge coincidences thatseen to happen to cars .. the headlight switches are known to fail at themost inappropriate times

the relays are seperate,the dim/dip is no 7 in the central fuse box,the fogs are no.9..
would still suspect the headlight switch though,anyway you can check with a fellow scorpio driver close by ?

Take a look under the fuse box!

Remove a bit of trim to the right of the steering column,just above accel. pedal.
There is a peice of plastic 'netting' under there as well, remove this to expose the underside.
Check the connectors are fully home-disconnect and reconnect until you hear/feel a click.
COMMON PROBLEM.

It was the connection at the fuse box ! nice one eddie ! ;D
