here's a brief history of my problems . 2.0 16v ultima 1994 82k on clock . speedo reading about 10-15 mph low all time otherwise car running ok about town and on motorway. following advice from forum bought a new vss from ford had it fitted, speed reading right now car running superb around town ,but when i took it on m/way reving too high and erratic gear changes above 50-60 mph, and o/d light started to flash but stopped when i came off m/way. took car into main dealer today to get checked out on computer, they tokit on motorway and came back with these codes TP0122, P0734 GEAR RATIO 4 INCORRECT , P11311 HEGO , P1761 SOLENOID 3. anyone got any ideas to what i can do to get this sorted . cheers any advice appreciated

It all souds familiar. Unfortunately, your error codes may relate to an earlier problem and your next step should be to run it for a while and get the codes read again.

My box has been playing up for nearly 15K with similar problems but, apart from the first code readings which were almost identical to yours, not a peep. The problem is still there but I get no reported problems. Yours may not be the same but you should still get the codes read again.

Where are you? Perhaps someone on this site could read your codes without paying Ford.

I,m between Worcester and Kidderminster. Any good?
