Title: Coolant reservoir
Post by Snuggles on Nov 9th, 2004, 9:20am
Hi, does anyone know if the coolant reservoir is the same model for all engine types? Thanks.

I have 2 Scorps, and the reservoir is the same on both with one exception.  My 95 Ghia has a switch on the coolant reservoir to indicate a low coolant level, but my 97 Ghia does not.  (The Ghia in '95 was a higher spec than the Ghia in '97).  Don't know about the 2.9 12 or 24v or the 2.5 Diesel though.
Hope this goes some way towards answering your question.
Kev.

Hi
I can not picture in my mind exactly what the TD tank looks like but if I remember correctly isn't it actually mounted on the engine?, all the others are mounted on the inner wing. Ford list it as a different part by the way.

The coolant reservoir on the 2.5td is different to the petrol models and it fits in a different place.....

It can be seen here in these pictures
