1995 2.9 12v Ultima. Climate control dose not reset as per instructions. Can not get 50 showing on passenger side. No fault code apears. How can I diagnose a fault or reset . Also only warm air comes out even on high manual setting. Have fitted new thermostat and back flushed matrix, the pipe going into the heater is red hot but piep returning is luke warm. Really unimpressed with this system. My old 1990 Scorpio I could get it sub tropical in about 200yds. Help please before I go totally insane

I had recently reset mine before the burn out.

You have to hold down both buttons for about 10-15 seconds and it negates - get two dashes - before resets can be done

Thats how I done mine

A full CC reset can sometimes take two or three goes before it takes .. try doing it again and see if it makes a difference... Always worth a try....or tries!

I had to do mine a couple of times after having a new battery but it eventually took.....

I recently reset mine as par the instructions on this site. However, it took me a couple of goes to realise (after reading the text properly) that both rotary knobs need to be FULLY to the left, ie. off on the left one and face vents on the right one. Not just to the auto position as in the picture.

i had a similar problem last year just as winter came. i think because i put about 3 bottles of radweld into the header tank (not in one go) to stop a leaky rad it blocked the matrix enough to slow the flow of water, i also had no heat so i tried flushing the water system with rad flush which only seemed to make the rad leak again and still no hot air. so i got the rad re-cored. about 6 weeks ago i decided it was time to sort the heater out before it go to cold (i cauldnt go another winter with no heat). so removed the two pipes that come from the matrix and filled them and the matrix with a solution of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) and left it a for some time whilst i did the service parts on the engine. service done i flushed the matrix through and refitted the pipes and filled the engine with water and started to run the car up, it was some time before i noticed the 2 inches of water in the rear footwells. i think the cleaning fluid i used had eaten through the nine year old matrix as i noticed stream of water pouring out of the bottom of the heater box. so in the end i had to fit a new matrix, steering wheel off, dash out, plenham chamber off, heater box out, vent pipes not a nice job really but it had to be done. took me 6 hours on a saturday afternoon, caused probs with the wife too as she thought it would be a quick job. anyway if you are still awake after reading this then i am happy to say that i have plenty of hot air now and the A/C is all working has it should be. but dont let me scare you, your problem may not necessarily be the same as mine. p

OR

I re-set my CC the other day as per instructions on the site, it seemed to do everything it was asked , but I guess I will have to wait till next summer ( HA! ) to see if it REALLY works.

Thanks for the prompt response, I guess you did not see the notes against themes on the front page, in any case Parts for Sale and Items Wanted should be good sources of business for you.

Also if you do really have something that will help somebody on a live thread I am sure they would be pleased to hear from you.

In any case whilst I am sure somebody else may have said this welcome and happy selling ;)
