Title: Alarm without a cause...
Post by AndersH on Nov 19th, 2004, 7:38am
Hi!

I've recently experienced a problem with my -95 24V Cosworth and as there's a solution to every problem, I hope you guys can help me out with this one:
The alarm starts to sound without any reason! This is very annoying... (both for me and my neighbours). Sometimes the car could be left for days without any problem, and sometimes the alarm sounds a couple of times a day...

1. Is there a way to lock the car without enabling the alarm?
2. Does anyone know what could be the problem with the alarm?

Thanks,
Anders

The common problem with the alarm is the bonnet switch - have a look there first!

You could disconnect the horn until you solve the problem!?

Daven,

Many thanks for a real quick reply! But please - where's the bonnet switch located?

Regards,
Anders

Snoopy, you could always disconnect the alarm horn--under bonnet next to drivers side fusebox, untill you locate the problem. john.n ;)
