Title: Cold start.
Post by Scorpioen84 on Nov 22nd, 2004, 5:55am
Hi, this morning when starting my scorp to go to work it sounded like an old Lada, calfing and knocking, bu it started on first try...

After i start to drive i see that the engine temp. needle shows normal hot, after 30sec.
The temp outside was -7,5degrees.

Has the temp. sensor to the engine gone dead.?

WOW!!

Check your cooland fluids for low temperatures.
Seems like there has been partialy iced and blocked the circulation. Thats why You get warm reading so quick.
You can ruin your engine, if the fluid freezes.

I started my cossie this morning first time in low temp too. It was -15C. Only problem was that steering wheel was so damm could that i could not keep my fingers on it. Have to get that engine and interior pre-heater asap!! Anyway it was nice to turn of the tractioncontrol and have the loooooong powerslides on snow.
;D
