Title: Headlight problem
Post by mickmarsters on Nov 26th, 2004, 1:51pm
Can anyone please help?
I have a 2.0ltr Ultima auto.
My dip beam and main beam have suddenly stopped working. The only front lights that appear to work are the parking lights. Nothing has been changed about the car recently. I have checked all the fuses and they are all ok. The swotch itslef appears ok (not melted or anything like that).

suspect loadsa money saved here. Took your advice about switch and went and had another good look at it.
Found the metal pins in the Plug connector at pin 11 to be blackened a bit. Have given them a clean and bent them in a touch and voila, lights back.

Many Many thanks.

P.S. Cant solve my auto gearbox faultsssssssss can you. LOL.

Have had this car two years and spent about 1500 quid on different garages and gearbox specialists and still it sticks in first when cold and sometimes decides to drop gears whilst on motorway. Fun, NOT.
