This problem only started a week ago. When cold all gear changes are normal, but when it warms up...the 2nd to 3rd change is not engaging in 3rd gear correctly. It comes out of 2nd OK, but the revs will just soar up (as if its not in any gear) and then it will pop into 3rd. All other gear changes are fine. Any suggestions? I have cleaned the MAF..(its as clean as a baby's bottom - a clean one that is) also checked those cables and connectors underneith the power steering resovoir (all ok)..Anything else to look for?

Hi Dave :D,
After recently suffering auto box problems myself :'(, you really need to go to a good auto shop ::).

By your description it sounds like you have a sticking solenoid (shift #2) :o.
This is replacable from outside the box ;D. But as I found out (in my favor 8), thank god) it is not unusual for the housing to be worn >:(!!!
Have a look on the main site for a recomended garage.
