Hi , has anyone ever used the stuff 10k boost in your engines ? Its a spray you spray into the air intake to decoke the engine. Was wandering if i sprayed 10k boost into my air intake near the radiator on a 1997 2.3 manual scorpio , would this clean the maf as its along the air intake route ??

hi there

someone used this before, but i can't remember the results (before the big server crash). bit on the expensive side isn't it? oil change and fuel injector cleaner not better? as for the MAF cleaning, better to do it as per the instruction on the site. no point starting to clean it and not being able to see if it is.

I agree with Scorpio Man

Redex injecter cleaner stuff (two consequtive tanks at correct dose, can take then 2 or 3 tank fulls to take efect)

then clean MAF seperatly as per instructions on site (5min job).

I was one the guys that tried 10k boost when it first was mentioned on here. I have a 2.9 24v cossie. All I can say is that it was certainly impressive! did what itsays on the tin. realy does make a difference. I also checked with the manufactureres that it was ok to use with cats, which they said itwas. I will be using it again when ive done another 10k. HOWEVER!! dont put it anywhere near your MAF as it will ruin it!! it does state this on the tin i think, just use carb cleaner to clean the maf. you have to spray 10k in the engine side of the intake, i used a little pipe at the back of the engine to squirt it in. HTH
