Title: Re: headlights Post by Paul B on Dec 24th, 2004, 1:13pm Poorly connection somewhere. Maybe the switch itself? Bad or burnt contacts on it seems to be an old favourite. |

Title: Re: headlights Post by craig on Dec 24th, 2004, 4:05pm sound like pauls right there you know,if you remove the switch and check the contacts both on the switch it's self and the plug in connector, chances are you will find some blackening/charring on one of them, can be cleaned and re-gapped,but take it easy,a thingytail stick is usually about this time of year, and will certainly come in handy for putting the connections back into place...... HTH craig... |

Title: Re: headlights Post by Eddie on Dec 25th, 2004, 4:24am Not forgetting the connections under the (drivers side(UK)) fusebox, just give them all a good push to ensure they are properly seated. eddie |

Title: Re: headlights Post by Ultima_Stu on Dec 28th, 2004, 3:24pm My car has now developed a n/s dipped beam which isn't working intermittantly, which I now suspect to be the fusebox. Checked all other connections, bulb, switch (did that last week when I lost all sidelights front and rear due to burnt pin/connecter on the switch rear!) but have no power through the fuse. Does anyone know how this thing is removed to clean &/or dry? Cheers. |
