Title: Usual Auto box fault Post by Bash on Dec 30th, 2004, 1:47pm Hi all. Looks like I've got the usual auto box fault. Overdrive light used to flash and no top gear. Tried cleaning the MAF, no result, bought a secondhand one from ebay which turned out to be black inside. Anyway, cleaned it and now no flashing overdrive but still no top gear. If I unplug the MAF I get top gear evrytime no problem, but gear changes are a little bit "Thumpy". If I plug it back in the gear changes are smooth again but no top gear. I think the MAF is partially faulty but I need to know if unplugging it and getting top gear is a definate sign it is b****red. HELP!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year by the way....... ??? |
