Title: Oh dear ... Ford Scorpio 6000/6006/7000 Radio
Post by madkiss on Jan 3rd, 2005, 10:18am
Hi folks,

It's me again! ;-) Given that my brake disks now work like a charm again (the mate in the garage told me 'One more full braking and that would have been it ...'), I have time to come back to the radio. Just a simple question: Where is the difference between the 6000 and the 7000CD radio? Just the fact that the one has a CD-Slot while the other has a cartridge slot? Are the features the same otherwise? And what about this fancy 6006 thing? I have no idea what's the difference between 6000/7000 and 6006 ...

Somebody please enlighten me ;-)

The Radiio Handbooks are here http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/2007hbook.htm

Might help with the differences

Hi, I have a 6006, i got it off ebay as the 5000 that came with the car was locked (does anyone know how to unlock it, i have the code but it just says "locked"). The 6006 takes all 6 cd's into the head unit so there is no need for a boot changer - i have to say i love it but i wish it had a line out. Hope this helps

Paul

Okay, let's assume I will go for the 6000 with CD slot. I already saw that it provides a plug for hands-free speaking systems, but is there even some socket I can use for connecting a Cinch-Cable to it, so one could -- for example -- connect one's PDA to it via the headphone-socket and a corresponding adapter? That would just enable me to listen MP3/OGG/Whateveryouwant via the speakers of the car ...
