Recently replaced my stock RDS5000 unit with a Kenwood CD/MP3 stereo and fitted with a Ford ISO adapter and facia plate - no problem.
At the same time I purchased a Scorpio interface adapter from InCarTec which takes the stalk control signals and convert them to a format acceptable for the stereo.
My Scorpio has the 6-way yellow connector with three wires on it (one of which is the VSS signal) I followed the instructions as per but it didn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? Is there any easier way to connect to the stalk control? How does the stalk adapter work? Is it a resistive ladder? or something more complicated?

As always any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Mike ..what were the " instructions " for the six-way yellow ? ... did the radio interface module under the drivers side get mentioned ?
I know autoleads who manufacture most aftermarket to OEM leads only do that lead for Sony ... hmmm cheers .....STN

Hi STN ,

There was a single blue wire coming from the InCarTec "black box" and the instructions say to connect this directly to the blue/orange wire of the yellow connector. There was no mention of the RIM under the drivers side....

I'm going to give them a call tmrw to see if I can return it and get the Kenwood steering-wheel-mounted IR control instead and save some money ;D
