Title: CC Code 57
Post by Phil_Waller on Jan 17th, 2005, 8:55am
Hello,

Sorry to post this - I have searched, found, read and absorbed information on my problem

Yesterday Eric and myself carried out a reset of the C/C system as I have done on odd occasions before.

Code 57 is displayed as a fault. Now there is no code 57 and I have seen from other posts that this infact code 07

That is my first assumption (I dont like to make them but it is an educated guess)

If it is 07 that means it is the HBC - heater blower contril module.

Looking at the WSM this doesnt seem to be to difficult.. Has anyone else replaced one?

As always thanks for the advice and help

No replies to this...

However, I have done the job and thought I would report back so people can gain from my experience.

I obtained a Heater Blower Control (HBC) from a second hand source (tested and confirmed as working).

I replaced it today and carried out the reset proceedure..

Code 57 has now gone and my C/C works perfectly.. No more unwanted engagment of the A/C Compressor clutch when I dont want it.

Phil
