Hello everyone.
This is my first post.
Just purchased a 1996 scorpio exec 24v. It came with the the red master key only. I have had another key cut and was going to programme it this afternoon. i have read how to do it in the handbook but the control light on the top of the dash does not illuminate. Any ideas on how i can either replace the light or programme the key another way.

Hi Andy ...it's unusual for the PATS light not to illuminate ..but it's common that it drops down inside the dash .. it's worth checking under the red cowl to make sure it is in fact there ... welcome to the site too ... regards .....STN

ps. if it has dropped down then seek a little more advice before digging in there ok .. let us know

Been out and removed the cover and the light does infact work but it is very dim, when i replace the cover light cannot be seen. Any ideas? Also bulb in clock not working. how easy is it to replace?

maybe a dim led Andy .. will it let you program though ? until you investigate further ? ..and the clcok bulb is slightly worse to replace than the other dash ones ...but ok with a bit of patience and care ..instructions should be on the site index .. ill look for you ok .. STN

Just been and programmed the key.

Changing the bulb on the clock looks complicated though.
