Title: anyone tried unoriginal wishbones? Post by kluge on Feb 12th, 2005, 10:00pm Hi One of the wishbones in my scorpio gave up. I've searched a bit and found 3x times cheaper whisbones made by TEKNOROT, some turkish company (I think). Unfortunately I can't find any reliable information how do these whisbones compare to original. Has anyone got any experiences with those? Are they the same durability comparing to original? regards kluge |

Title: Re: anyone tried unoriginal wishbones? Post by SaveTheNight on Feb 12th, 2005, 10:51pm Hi Kluge .. I doubt there is an answer to that question here ... I think you will find we cannot get spurious wishbones .. we rely on Ford ones .. or Trevor at fordpartsuk ..who's parts are in fact from whichever supplier supplied Ford originally .. my company markets a reconditioned wishbone ..but again it is only a good quality original with new ball joint machined in and new Ford or Superflex bushes ... hope that helps ... regards ....STN |

Title: Re: anyone tried unoriginal wishbones? Post by SaveTheNight on Feb 13th, 2005, 4:07pm well if its any consolation Andy ..we didn't have them available then .. and are only putting them on sale when we have enough to meet requirements.. as with many other parts that we will be retailing .. our insurance has also been a nightmare < understandably > as soon as manufacturing became involved .. so there ya go ... catch you soon mate ........... Title: Re: anyone tried unoriginal wishbones? Post by SaveTheNight on Feb 13th, 2005, 5:42pm we machine them Eddie ..to take an aftermarket ball joint instead of the non-replaceable one .. then you can change just the joint in the future ..no rocket science involved .. the joint is splined and pressed in from the bottom ..then circlipped at the top ..
