Title: Re: CD PLAYER Post by Dave on Feb 26th, 2005, 7:51pm I'm not 100% but the chances are very slim indeed. Maybe if the connectors didn't fit (they won't, obviously) you could get some technical information on the connector cables (what wire does what) of each changer and splice them together. I'd go into a shop and ask! Or change the whole system. Dave. |

Title: Re: CD PLAYER Post by Dave on Feb 28th, 2005, 9:44am Yeah I seem to remember that I read somewhere that Sony head units could be coupled with an adapter to make the remote controls work. Sadly I have a Panasonic..... ;D |

Title: Re: CD PLAYER Post by Nick_H on Feb 28th, 2005, 12:19pm I have a Kenwood 6-CD changer in my Scorp, linked with a Soundlinx interface from www.caraudiodirect.com/. Look under 'Changer Interfaces'. I don't know if having a 10-CD changer causes its own issues, but my 6-disc works perfectly from the steering wheel stalk. Nick H. |

Title: Re: CD PLAYER Post by Nick_H on Feb 28th, 2005, 4:30pm Hi, My unit is a FOR01KEN - it appears that CarAudioDirect don't sell it anymore. Might be worth dropping them an e-mail, though, as they have been very helpful to me in the past. www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk have them (£65), but their description says " Connect Ford [...] to kenwood 6 disc cd multiplay". www.onestopcaraudio.co.uk have them, too. They also have a sense of humour, trying to charge £139.99 for them. Alternatively, try e-mailing sales@soundlinx.co.uk and see if they'll recommend other suppliers or sell direct. Nick H. (Oh yeah, there's also www.nexxia.co.uk) |
