Title: The old problem! Post by dart on Feb 27th, 2005, 10:11pm The old girl's done 131000 miles (that's the car) How long do bottom ball joints last? I think their original but not sure! I've give them some testing with jacks and bars etc..but there don't seem to be any play. I'm more suspicious of the steering rack! What say you? (buy the way I've changed the linkages) Yours hopfully Flighty in slightly windy weather, fed up with it now!(on the m1) dart |

Title: Re: The old problem! Post by Eddie on Mar 6th, 2005, 5:26pm Dont take any notice of the 24valve and 16 valve snobs mate ;D. Its a SCORPIO, good enough! The steering rack is the standard rack, however I would look elsewhere for the source of your problem, namely the bushes in the lower suspension arms. Theres more info on the main forum. Have the tracking set up to see if that helps. Take a look at the anti roll bar clamping bushes, if they are in a state this can cause some problems. eddie |
