Hi guys, OD light flashing problems turns out to be the wiring loom, ( even though a previous auto-elec, said it was not.)( who trains these auto-elecs.) . Ford say this part is obsolette,(Part. No. 7368687). Auto-Box man says that to rewire it without a new wiring loom will take about 7-8 hours work & will add considerly to the cost . Anybody out there no of anywhere else it is possible to source this loom from?

John where abouts has the loom gone through? is it in the places i told you about earlier in which case how much has your guy removed to get to it ,bear in mind that to even fit a new loom will reguire a lot of work anyway ,and if i remember correctly when mine went ford were quoting around £450.00 for the loom alone ,why not get a auto electriciam in to cut out damaged cables and splice in new ,i actually did mine myself and rerouted the loom around the back of engine bay to avoid any further probs ,but unfortunatly i think you are going to be looking at a pretty hefty bill

Hi Colin, it`s mainly in the V section of the engine , auto-man has striped most of top end. Ford have no price for loom as yet, but main loom to ECU is priced at, can you believe it ! £1200! (Colin sent you e-mail)
