Title: electric windows
Post by Ashley on Mar 17th, 2005, 5:43pm
My nearside electic window has stuck open.  I have taken the trim off to access the window,  but I can't manually shift it to at least a permantley closed position.
When I press the close switch on the arm rest, a click comes from a box I believe is the relay.  Could the problem be in this box, and if so would the offside window still work.  I dont care whether or not the window works but is there a way of manually lifting it to the closed position

Thanks all

on the window motor, find out which connectors are + & - Then hook up str8 to the battery. if it doesnt go up , reverse the connections on the motor.

This shud work

Had the same problem..tried connecting motor direct to battery..didn't work.Had to drill out rivets holding mechanism .Disconnect window from lifting arm and jammed closed using an old sheet rammed in the door. Problem turned out to be a dry solder joint in the motor, easily fixed. You will need good strong lazy tongs to replace the 4.2mm rivets.
