I have a 2.5 td ultima
when i turn the ignition on (engine not running ) a/c off the drivers side fan is running only at high speed
this morning car very cold ac off ignition on engine not running dr sd fan running started car went about 1/2 mile stopped .
same senerio as above this time fans not running .
ac on dr sd fan runs at high speed a/c off fan stopped
I believe from a good write up on this site that both fans run together only and never only just one.
so why does the dr sd fan run at start (engine not running ) and not both ? passenger side fan is free to spin by hand.
any advice or help would be appreciated

have you checked the multiplug
connections,n/s one asnt disconnected
as it,have you tested the fan motor on
the nearside it hasnt failed as it.
trying to give reasons why the two fans
not working together.

I havent done any checks just yet ,rain and snow keeping me indoors,just baffled by what is happening

I got out today and checked the fans
Dr sd fan is ok
passenger sd fan does not have 12 volts to earth Ignition on or off???????
any ideas where to look for it ?
