Probably warped brake disks! But if your lucky it’s a build up of corrosion on them, in which case it’s only a matter of removing the build up. If the steering wheel shakes at the same time you are looking at the front ones. If the whole car shudders it could be the rear ones. Just remember if you replace the disks the pads should be replaced as well!

as phil said it could be warped or it may be the disc starting to collaps(webs on the vented fronts can rust then crush) also remember to change both sides at the same time , things like discs and pads and shocks should be donwe as a set

A build up of corrosion on the discs ( usually the inboard  side  where you can't see )  is  the most common cause of  shudder ,  the  disc  corrosion  sometimes causes  ( like in my case   )   the   brake pad  material  to  separate  from the backing  plate .      Rather dangerous.

In order of likelyhood-

Warped disk(s).
Worn suspension bushes.
Duff shock absorbers
Other (unusual)brake fault.

Have you recently used silicon tyre shine?

If you have fairly open style of alloys then silicon oversparay can get on the OUTER part of the disk, lubricating it and reducing its friction and consequently, due to differential temperature on either side of the disk, you end up with warped disks and thus shaking under braking.
I actually failed an MOT due to this, tarted the car up prior to test including "silly" spray on tyres (and disks as it turned out!). Failed due to braking efficiency, cured by a good jet washing once I realized what the problem was.

IMO silicon tyre shine is OTT.  It looks like you're trying too hard.

I use ordinary shoe polish and a shoe brush.  It brings the rubber up like new, without that artifical gloss.  Tyre manufacturers actually recommend a wax rather than proprietory cleaners.

Dont tell me Eric, I gave my 'silly' stuff to the Mrs to spray on the the belt of her walking machine.
I,m back to Cherry Blossom/Kiwi on the tyres.
