Title: temperature sensors
Post by bobtheyop on May 17th, 2005, 4:22pm
hello gang,

i've just replaced one of the air conditioning hoses and i'll be getting the system regassed in the next couple of weeks.
what i wanted to know was,the temp gauge on the speedo dials has always shown a high figure e.g. around the 45 degrees cent mark.obviously this has never been the outside temp but does this have anything to do with the air conditioning?
if it is so high and is connected ,would it always run cold when on.
is there a switch i could replace for it to read correctly.
would appreciate any help,

regards,
bob. ???

Bob,

the temp readout on the dash is unconnected with the CC.

The CC temp sensor is mounted above the evap plenum whilst the dash readout sensor is mounted behind the front bumper, try replacing that.
