Can you help, Drinking Fuel more than usual ! Spluttering from cold and will loose performance when cruising on the motorway, it pops through the air filter as well, I cant find any split pipes and the dizzy cap seems fine. Any Ideas. Thanks

Hi there,

I had a similar sounding problem on a 2.0 DOHC which was traced to a faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. I noticed that my 12v has the same sensor on it. It is the black box just forward of the battery housing with an electrical and a vacuum connection. They are available from motor factors and cost about £35. The one I went to let me try it out first to make sure it solved the problem. Takes about 30 seconds to swap.
