The problem is the plug is already there - what you need is the insert that goes into the plug!

I have tried one from a spare audio lead but it is too big to fit into the plug!

I will have a look round and see if I can find one to fit! Other than that it means cutting out the one that is there and finding the correct plug to replace it!

Cheers

No - unfortunatly - if you take the plug out you just see an empty hole - the pin socket is missing (on mine anyway!)

Will see if I can find a way! (I have the Nokia CARK91 fitted but can't use this feature due the same problem!)

When I bought my red scorpio, there was already a phone kit installed and whoever had fitted the kit just puched a wire into the correct hole, let a little come out of the bottom of the hole, and then pushed the plug back into the socket. Worked fine for 3 years!!

I too have nokia car kit and wonder if blue (12v switched) needs to be connected ,and is there a 12v switched wire into 7000 I could connect to.

I will try pushing yellow (mute) into hole  and replug ,lets see what happens.

Thanks

LOL - simple tricks often the best! ;D

Barry can't remember where I picked up the connections from - will have a look later - think I used the flash on go mod connections!

Have a look at this:

This also applies to the 7000 radio

Hi Barry,

The Blue/Black wire on the Black power plug should a 12v switched live - I used it to feed a relay for something else!

I think the switched live tells the kit to turn off after an hour or so to stop the battery from draining so may be worth fitting!
