Hi guys back again, took some advice recently to look at MAP sensor on my 2.9 12v (re pop back through air filter, bad Idle, poor fuel consumption) and foung after disconnecting the vac pipe on the underside of the MAP sensor the rate varies from good suction when the engine is running fine to NO suction when I get the problems and varies in between. Im considering buying another MAP sensor but I am faultering just in case it isnt the problem, can any one give me more direction, much thanks Sam. :-/

Is the vacum pipe under the ICV connected?
If thats knocked off it can cause the sort of poblems you are having .. And its not easy to see the nipple it fits ot is clear plastic.

What and where is the ICV, Ive looked and checked pretty much everything but if you can tell me then I will have a look. Thanks Sam

Its inder the air intakes .. its the silver canister with the wires going to it at the end of the two air intake pipes has a return spring on the oposite side ...

Snoopy, I had a good look, the pipe is firmly connected, now today the car has been fine, not one pop or hesitation, its weird, any other ideas would be appreciated ???
