Hi there
I opened my front ashtray today and now it wont go back in? Cant feel anything stopping it so I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and managed to fix it. Please help me because its one of those things that gets really annoying(especially since I dont even smoke!!!)

Hello there,
This has happend to me a few times. Im not a smoker either {}
However I just kept pushing in and it kept poping out. Aprx 20 times not hard just with normal pressure. It went in eventually. ::)

Ive tried gently pushing it in, pushing it in with a little force, and even hitting it as hard as i can, and Still no success! Im gonna take the stereo out and see if I can get to the workings from behind there. At the minute Ive got it wedged shut with a car wash token!!!

The Ashtray has a removable insert for emptying purposes,make sure it is firmly pushed into place.

Tried that. Its even coming out when I totally remove the insert. Seems like a problem noone has really had so I'll just have to take the stereo out and go from there. Will let you know when its sorted so noone else gets stuck :'(

Dazza I do not think you can get at it even with the radio out. I seem to remeber someone posting on here about removng the ashtray and the whole of the front of the dash has to come off to get at it,

If I am wrong I am sure someone will put me right
have GOOD read of this it mentions the ashtray removal; somewhere
