Title: strange noise Post by ferretmobile on Jun 10th, 2005, 11:27am Last week I lounging out side my caravan in France and it was a very hot day....when mmmmmmmmmmmmm went the car??? The windows and sun roof were open and the key was not in the ignition. Was it me sipping too much calva perhaps, but no it did it again some time later. A sort of gentle hmmmmmm. Not a problem really but I would like to know why the scorp hums happy little noises in the hot sun. I have also heard this same noise after turning off the ignition after a drive. It seems to be comming from the rear area. (ooh matron) The point is can any of you boffins out there shed some light on this strange hum or is it down to a happy scorp? Ferret |

Title: Re: strange noise Post by dart on Jun 11th, 2005, 6:07pm Also,It could be the EMU doing a systems check! I found this on my granada when I had a non ford alarm fitted,it would go off 10mins after turning off the ignition, the alarm noticed the slight voltage drop and kept going off!so you maybe hearing the EMU.Lets face it,how many times do we lock the car and hang around for 10mins where its quiet?but it is more likely to be the tank venting. :) |
