Title: What is "Neverseeze compound" Post by tony on Jun 21st, 2005, 11:03pm What is Neverseeze compound? It's recommended on the site when installing spark plugs, but I've never seen it before. Is this a brand name or just a generic such as copper grease? Cheers, Tony |

Title: Re: What is "Neverseeze compound" Post by Eddie on Jun 21st, 2005, 11:27pm Either a type of silicone grease or the good old fashioned copper grease. I bought a set of plugs for my current working car (a VX *****),a sachet of a clear grease was supplied in the box. turned out to be a silicone grease. On plugs, just a smear is needed, not great dollops! eddie |

Title: Re: What is "Neverseeze compound" Post by Boblavens on Jun 22nd, 2005, 2:13pm That would be handy, as I need some for my window and door rubbers to stop them squeaking! Anyone know where you can actually buy silicon grease as Halfords and Motor World are as much use as a "chocolate fire guard" Bob |

Title: Re: What is "Neverseeze compound" Post by Snoopy on Jun 22nd, 2005, 10:16pm Silicone grease is available at MOST DIY stores in the plumbing department. Its what you use to fit the plastic pipes together and make them slide past the seals..... Use some copper lease in place of the never seeze stuff it works well |
