Does anyone know whether other Ford remote fobs offered for sale on eg ebay will work with the Scorpio?

There is a fob for a transit which looks similar and they tend to a lot cheaper than the scorpio type.

No, I know a couple of people with Transits who have tried desperately to get the remote fob to work on the Scorpio..... it wouldn't :(
In fact, I'm fairly sure that nobody (yet) has come up with any other remote which will operate our system :-/

yep,the answer is no i'm afraid,some time ago me and another member explored a whole host of different options including the transit ones and several other fobs including maplins,and they all work on a different frequency to the scorpio........
genuine ford i'm afraid is the answer here
