Hi guys, can anyone shed some light?

Just changed my ignition barrel and now the car wont start, with the old one or new? ? ?

Is it something to do with PATS and how do i overcome it

When you changed the ignition barrel have you changed the PATS sensing ring also, it's a black piece of plastic that surrounds the barrel.

Give us more details, does it spin the engine or not
Is the PATS led blinking continously, is it doing it fast ??

Check the connectors to the PATS sensing ring, try the red key...etc...

Hi guys, had a nightmare day, old barrel siezed on the forecourt of FMD while trying to source the problem, how embarrassing?

It turns out that the only problem is the new keys arent coded for my pats (obviously) and therefore wouldnt turn engine over, so have booked the car in to have the system reprogrammed. An expensive day but had to be done.

So for now i have managed to sort of bypass it all to start the car : new barrel in with new key but have to hold old key next to it so pats gets the code to start the car }{ what a palava, but it works until it goes in to be sorted.
